State Energy Conservation Awards presented

Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission has felicitated the best performers in energy conservation and energy efficiency in the State with State Energy Conservation Awards to various government and private organizations and also presented awards to winners of the school short video competition on energy conservation.
During the valedictory function of the National Energy Conservation Week-2023 celebrations organised by APSECM at Vijayawada on Wednesday, APGENCO Managing Director and APTRANSCO JMD KVN Chakradhar Babu , APTRANSCO JMD (Vigilance & Security) B Malla Reddy, and APCPDCL CMD J Padma Janardhana Reddy presented State Energy Conservation Awards (SECA)-2023 to those government and private organisations that has shown excellence in area of energy efficiency under the sectors of buildings, industries and institutions.
Under SECA-gold category, Welcome Hotel by ITC Hotels, Guntur, Vignan’s Institute Of Information Technology, Visakhapatnam, Divisional Railway Manager Office/Guntakal /South Central Railway, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, Ajinomoto Bio Pharma Services, Visakhapatnam, Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station, Parwada,  Sree Jaya Jothi Cements Private Limited, Banaganapalli have won awards.
Under SECA-Silver category, Novotel Varun Beach Visakhapatnam, National Institute Of Technology (NIT), Andhra Pradesh, Tadepalligudem, Rail Vikas Bhavan (office of the DRM, S.C. Railway, Guntur , Tenali Municipality, Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Unit-15, Visakhapatnam, Dr. Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station (Dr.NTTPS), lbrahimpatnam, Vijayawada and  KCP Limited Cement Production Unit-II, Jaggayyapet, NTR District have won awards .  Chakradhar Babu congratulated the winners. “We all have to make energy conservation our lifestyle that can greatly benefit the economy of the State and strengthen the power sector and offer better energy security for future generations. The government wishes that the students will lead the energy conservation movement in the State and set an example that energy conservation is everyone’s social responsibility,” he said. Chakradhar Babu also presented awards to the winning students in the short video competition for school children. Representatives of various industries, organizations and students from various schools participated in the function. All the winners thanked the Energy Department and the State government.
