A group of ministers met to discuss the government’s plans for aiding flood victims, particularly focusing on the distribution of essential commodities starting from Friday. The high-level meeting was held at the Vijayawada Collectorate on Thursday and was attended by State Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu, Housing and Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy, and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar, along with various officials.
The ministers instructed the officials to deploy revenue, municipal, and village secretariat staff to assist in delivering essential supplies to the flood-affected individuals. They emphasised that the number of victims in each ward should be assessed, and that essentials should be distributed directly to their homes.
In addition to the ministers, the meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad, Special Chief Secretary MAUD Anil Kumar Singhal, Special Chief Secretary Agriculture B. Rajasekhar, Special Chief Secretary Medical and Health M.T. Krishna Babu, CM Secretary Pradyumna, NTR District Collector G. Srijana, Member of Parliament for Vijayawada Kesineni Sivanath, MLA Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao, and others.
