Students of Malla Reddy College protest against detainment

Following the detainment for 60 students of BSc Agriculture by the Malla Reddy University officials, the students of the School of Agricultural Sciences of the varsity staged a protest on the premises by burning effigies of MLA Malla Reddy on Monday.
In all, 60 students of BSC Agriculture were detained on scoring low in their exams. The students were raised slogans – “We want justice” and demanded a revaluation of the answer sheets of the detained students. The students’ protests went viral on social media platforms.
Congress leader Mynampally Hanumanth Rao, who was present during protest, assured the students that the State government would support the students.
One of the agitating students said, “We do not have proper faculty and the faculty intentionally detained us. Also, we face several issues due to lack of basic facilities in the varsity. We will continue  our protest till they take back our detention.”
