Students told to strive to achieve goals

District Collector L Shiva Shankar said that students should gain a good knowledge on subjects and work hard to achieve their goals and reach heights in life. A programme ‘A Day With Collector’ was organised here on Saturday in which a group of students participated. Initially, the district Collector inquired about the goals set by the students to achieve to reach heights in life. From childhood itself, students should develop a full understanding of society and master education, he told the students.

The Collector advised the students to respect their parents and excel in education. He said that youth would be able to excel in all fields only when they set great goals for themselves. After inquiring about the likes and dislikes of the students, the Collector advised them to gain a good command of Telugu and English languages.

“Besides cultivating good habits, you should constantly learn about the life history of dignitaries and the way of life of famous people, and increase their awareness of social issues to reach their goals. Grow up and bring good recognition in all fields,” he told the students.

It is suggested that you should bring great name, fame and prestige to the school at which you are studying, he told the students. The students of government teachers, high schools, hostels and tribal welfare department government schools of the respective mandals within the Sattenapalli constituency participated in this activity.
