Political strategist Sunil Kanugolu submitted a report to AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal dividing the 119 Telangana Assembly constituencies into three categories, it is learnt.
Sunil categorised 41 constituencies in A-category, 42 in B-category and 36 in C-category. As per Sunil’s predictions, the Congress will certainly win 41 seats.
Sunil’s team predicts that the Congress will win the seats in A-category with a gunshot. In the B-category, it said that if the party works a little hard it can win. The Congress is weak in C-category seats.
The report said that the party will come to power only if it wins B-category seats. Sunil’s team directed Congress leaders to increase their strength in B-category seats.
Meanwhile, TPCC President Revanth Reddy extended a warm welcome to KC Venugopal who reached RGI Airport on Saturday. After that, they came to Gandhi Bhavan and brainstormed on the report presented by Sunil’s team.
There is talk that the Congress may announce some candidates in the first list this month. It seems that the BRS has already completed the exercise. Discussions are going on and there is a chance that KCR will announce his candidates soon.
