Malladi Vishnu, Vice-chairman of the State Planning Board and Central MLA, has said that the unwavering public support for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s exemplary leadership and effective governance has been steadily growing over the past four years in Andhra Pradesh. The remarkable increase in popular endorsement, with a rise to 51.3% in 2023 from 49.8% in 2019, underscores the strengthened backing for the YSRC government.

Vishnu, MLA, emphasised the unparalleled popularity of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, asserting that various political surveys conducted across the state consistently affirm the YSRC’s commanding lead. Even the recent survey by Times Now attested to this fact. He pointed out that the YSRC’s share of votes had grown from 49.8% in the 2019 elections to the current 51.3%, and the survey forecasts a sweeping victory for the YSR Congress Party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Malladi Vishnu reiterated that the people of the state unequivocally prefer Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as their foremost choice. He criticised opposition parties and their affiliated media for baselessly criticising the Jagan government with fabricated narratives, noting that such attempts reflect their inability to tolerate his popularity.

MLA Vishnu highlighted the alarming statistic that 32.4% of deaths in the state are attributed to heart-related ailments, with more than 38 lakh individuals currently grappling with heart diseases in Andhra Pradesh.

He lauded CM Jagan’s administration for prioritizing public health and introducing the imminent STEMI program, designed to swiftly address heart attack cases. Under the STEMI initiative, patients will receive critical treatment within the crucial 40-minute “golden hour.” The program was successfully piloted at Tirupati RUIA Hospital, with its second phase set to launch on September 29 in Kurnool, Guntur, and Visakhapatnam districts.

Regarding agriculture, Malladi Vishnu criticised Chandrababu and Telugu Desam leaders, asserting that they lack the moral authority to speak about farmers and their welfare.

He accused Chandrababu of reneging on promises of an unconditional agriculture loan waiver totaling Rs. 87,612 crore, with only Rs. 15,000 crore eventually being waived. In contrast, he highlighted the Yagan government’s robust efforts to support farmers, including initiatives such as YSR Rythu Bharosa, free crop insurance, subsidized seeds, pesticides, and mechanization equipment, which cumulatively amount to Rs. 1,46,000 crore in benefits for farmers. He admonished Naidu to abstain from spreading falsehoods and expressed unwavering confidence in YSRCP’s imminent triumph in the forthcoming general elections.
