T-Hub announced its partnership with Bala Vikasa Centre on Friday. The partnership is to encourage innovation at the grassroots level and to promote rural, social and community development in Telangana. The MoU was signed by the groups under the directions of IT Minister Sridhar Babu.
The collaboration between the groups is to pace forward with the government’s plan on launching a new MSME policy in the State. The joint forces will work towards building Telangana as the central hub for social innovation in the country. T-Hub with Bala Vikasa will provide specialised programmes to develop knowledge and efficiency.
With rural innovation as the key aspect of the partnership, T-Hub and Bala Vikasa will work towards maximising operational efficiency of social and frugal innovation. The focus of the groups will be towards formalising social entrepreneurship with the government’s policy frameworks.
Bala Vikasa will further facilitate market access support to create better opportunities for startups and streamlining market access into T-Hub.
Executive director of Bala Vikasa, Shourya Reddy said, “The social business accelerator programme by T-Hub will be supported by us immediately. We will also work on capacity building, knowledge development and mentoring soon.”
T-Hub COO Anthony Anish said, “We are dedicated to foster startups which can make a tangible impact. Our commitment is to build a strong focus on rural, social and frugal innovations. This collaboration will create meaningful change in the startup ecosystem.” He also said T-Hub has garnered social partnerships with various organisations like Financepeer, Banyan Nation and Donatekart which have had social impact on startups.
