Tahsildar nabbed by ACB in DA case

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths conducted raids on the houses belonging to Tahsildar Gugulothu Bhadru Naik at various places on Friday. The raids were conducted in connection with the assets disproportionate to his income. The ACB officials found assets disproportionate to the tune of Rs 2.05 crore during the raid.

Gugulothu Bhadru Naik is tahsildar in Penamaluru mandal in Krishna district. He resides in Flat No 102, Manohari Heights, Kanuru village.

It has been revealed that Gugulothu Bhadru and his family possess one flat, one house, one vacant site, wet and dry agriculture lands, one four-wheeler, two two-wheelers, electrical gadgets, gold, bank balances, household articles and cash worth Rs 2,54,90,170 (approximately). Preliminary investigation revealed that he is in possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs 2,05,00,038 and further investigation is in progress.

A case has been registered. The accused officer was arrested and produced before the Special Judge for the trial of SPE & ACB cases, Vijayawada.

The accused officer is a native of Kummarikuntla village, A-Konduru Mandal, NTR District and he joined government service in 1996 as Junior Assistant in Revenue Department. In 2003, he was promoted as Senior Assistant / Revenue Inspector. Later, he was promoted as Deputy Tahsildar in 2007 and to Tahsildar in 2011. As Tahsildar, he worked in Movva, Totlavalluru and Vuyyuru mandals.
