BJP president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have directed Telangana BJP leaders to intensify their campaigns in view of the Assembly elections.
Amit directed BJP leaders to take the Delhi liquor scam and KCR’s family rule to the people extensively. At the same time, he advised the leaders not to go into unnecessary matters.
Both Amit and Nadda directed Telangana BJP leaders to take up the ‘Har Ghar Kamal’ programme to take the party symbol to every TS household.
Amit also advised Telangana leaders to launch campaigns to expose the KCR government’s failures. He also directed the leaders to go to the people without showing any discrimination between the old and the new.
It is learnt that Amit is coming to Hyderabad on March 3 to attend an official programme and later he will go to Bidar to take part in a party programme. He will also have a meeting with state party leaders after the official programme before going to Bidar.
It is also learnt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Telangana on March 22 and that the party high command has given a free hand to launch campaigns in the state.
In fact, Amit and Nadda directed party leaders to highlight the BRS government’s failures and Kavitha’s connection with the Delhi liquor scam.
The BJP leaders were also asked by the leadership to strengthen the organisation by inducting prominent personalities, including leaders from other parties who are favourably inclined to the BJP and to increase the number of members in booth committees from their current strength of around 10 to over 20.
The meeting comes after the CBI arrested Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the alleged liquor scam case in which the BJP claimed that BRS MP Kavitha is also involved, a charge rejected by her.
The meeting of BJP leaders was held at Nadda’s residence and G. Kishan Reddy, Sanjay, Dr K. Laxman, Eatala Rajender, D. Arvind, DK Aruna, Vijayashanthi, Vivek, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, AP Jithender Reddy, Garikapati Mohan Rao, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Tarun Chugh and others attended it.
However, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, D. Arvind and Sanjay made it clear that the law will take its own course in the Delhi liquor scam and there is no connection between the BJP’s moves in Telangana and the arrest of Sisodia.
