TDP chief tried to take shelter under technicalities: AAG

Must read

Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy has said, “We welcome the Supreme Court’s decision, which did not favour Chandrababu Naidu’s attempt to exploit technicalities in escaping this case. Despite Chandrababu’s efforts, the Supreme Court rejected his petition at every level,” stated Ponnavolu.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, the AAG refuted Chandrababu’s argument claiming that his arrest was politically motivated. Chandrababu attempted to leverage technical aspects, particularly invoking Section 17A, which requires prior permission from the Governor.
Ponnavolu said that Naidu disseminated false information through media outlets sympathetic to him. The Supreme Court’s ruling makes it evident that Chandrababu’s involvement in the case is undeniable.
“The Supreme Court verdict puts an end to the baseless allegations against the government, as well as the misleading propaganda perpetuated by the yellow media. Chandrababu’s attempt to tarnish the government’s image through a Goebbels’ campaign has been debunked by the court,” commented Ponnavolu.
