TDP gives Rs 2 lakh aid to slain party worker’s kin

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders participated in the funeral of TDP leader Pamula Munayya at Sanjeevarayunipet village in Giddalur mandal on Thursday. TDP leader P Munayya suffered critical injuries in an attack allegedly by the YSRCP leaders on March 18 and he succumbed to injuries on March 20 in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment in a hospital.
The body of Munayya was brought to the village on Thursday. The body of Munayya was wrapped with the TDP flag. A large number of TDP leaders bid tearful adieu to the slain TDP leader. TDP state president K Atchannaidu consoled the bereaved family members by speaking to them over the phone. He assured the bereaved family to stand by them.
TDP in-charge Ashok Reddy condemned the murder of Munayya. He said that the Giddaluru constituency earned a reputation for peace and tranquility but the YSRCP leaders vitiated the reputation by resorting to murderous politics.
He demanded the culprits should be punished rigorously.
Meanwhile, Ashok Reddy handed over Rs 2 lakh to the wife of slain Munayya. Ashok Reddy carried the coffin of Munayya. ZPTC B Madhdusudhan Yadav and other leaders were among those who were present.
