TDP literally leaving no stone unturned to lure voters

Must read

With less than a month left for the 2024 general elections in Andhra Pradesh, the ruling YSRCP led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the Opposition TDP-JSP-BJP alliance led by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu have intensified the campaigning. Interestingly, Chandrababu has raised curtains for ‘cash for vote’ to lure the voters in every village through the TDP NRI wing.
Chandrababu Naidu seems to be feeling very insecure as it is a do-or-die situation for him. He allied with the Jana Sena Party, and then with BJP. Still he lacks confidence and is resorting to unethical practices.
The Opposition is leaving no stone unturned to win the election. One thing that went viral on social media during the past two days was TDP seeking the services of its NRI wing.
The TDP NRI wing convened its meeting at the party office to chalk out a strategy to lure the voters with money in the villages. The plan was exposed as the video clip of the closed-door meeting was leaked and circulated on social media. In the viral video clip, TDP NRI wing coordinator Komati Jayaram could be heard urging the party’s supporters to buy the voters in rural areas to ensure their victory.  Jayaram was seen telling the gathering that the party has no time to make an elaborate election strategy. He said they have got only a month’s time and during this time they have to identify and woo at least 1,000 needy pro-YSRCP families. He also shared the budget for this assignment and said spending Rs 2-3 lakh to lure 10 families is not a difficult task.
