The TDP will be contesting alone in Telangana. TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu who has appointed a committee to accept applications from ticket hopefuls, recently clarified about the number of seats the party is contesting in Telangana.
In a chit-chat with the media in New Delhi on Tuesday, the TDP chief said that the TDP will contest all the seats in Telangana and that a committee has been set up to decide on contesting.
On whether there will be an alliance with the BJP in Telangana Chandrababu said that the time for that has ended.
He said that he is thinking of how to rebuild AP and that no one knows what is being discussed inside the BJP.
He said that there is no politics that he has not seen and that his sole desire now is to be a part of nation-building. Time will decide how it will be, he added.
He said that the TDP quit NDA on the special status issue for AP and that the special status tag is a sentimental issue for the people of AP.
He criticised Jagan for destroying AP and added that due to Jagan’s policies, Telangana and AP cannot even be compared now.
