The Government of Telangana has announced that September 17 will be celebrated as ‘Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam,’ a day to commemorate the state’s governance and achievements.
The Centre is observing September 17 as Hyderabad Liberation Day. The KCR government celebrated it as ‘Hyderabad Integration Day.’
The government issued GO Rt. No: 1213, dated 11.09.2024, nominating dignitaries to unfurl the National Flag and preside over ceremonies in various districts.
In the state capital, the Chief Minister will hoist the National Flag and take the salute while designated dignitaries will conduct similar ceremonies in other districts.
In Adilabad, Government Advisor Mohd. Ali Shabbir has been nominated to hoist the flag.
In Bhadrachalam Kothagudem, the responsibility falls on Tummala Nageswara Rao, the Minister for Agriculture, Marketing, Co-operation, Handlooms and Textiles.
In Hanumakonda, Konda Surekha, the Minister for Environment, Handlooms and Forests, Endowments will head proceedings.
Similarly, A. Lakshman Kumar, Government Whip, will take charge in Jagtial. In Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Peddapalli MLA Vodee Veeraiah, a member of the Telangana Forest Development Corporation, will oversee the flag hoisting.
Jangaon will see Government Whip Beerla Illaiah unfurling the National Flag. Jogulamba Gadwal will have AP Jitender Reddy, a Special Representative and Advisor to Government (Sports Affairs), preside over the ceremonies.
Patel Ramesh Reddy, the Chairman of the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation, will preside in Kamareddy.
The celebrations in Karimnagar will be led by D. Sridhar Babu, the Minister for IT, Industries and Commerce, while in Khammam, Batti Vikramarka Mallu, the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Finance and Planning, will take the honours.
Dignitaries will hoist the National Flag in Mahbubabad and Mahbubnagar, where J. Ramchander Naik and Jupally Krishna Rao, respectively, will preside.
