Telangana witnessed a significant surge in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows during the first half of fiscal 2024-25, with investments totalling Rs 12,864 crore between April and September 2024. This is a 33% increase compared to the Rs 9,679 crore recorded in the same period last year, an increment of Rs 3,185 crore.
The data released by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry says that Telangana stands sixth in the
country in FDI inflows during this period. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Delhi and Tamil Nadu secured the top five positions.
Hyderabad accounted for a substantial 93% of the FDI inflows into the state, that is, Rs 11,970 crore. Other key FDI destinations were Rangareddy district with Rs 680.5 crore, Mahbubnagar with Rs 116.7 crore and Medak with Rs 96.99 crore.
The data highlights the state’s growing appeal as a destination for foreign investors driven by its robust infrastructure and business-friendly policies.
With sustained growth in FDI, Telangana continues to strengthen its position as a key business hub of India.
