Telangana universities are exploring the posibilty of academic partnerships with the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
In this regard Telangana Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy on Monday met Prof BVR Chowdari, Senior Executive Director & President Emeritus, Materials Research Society of Singapore (MRS-S), India Connect, a special initiative of NTU, Singapore.
Shedding light on academics in Telangana, Reddy said, “Telangana has already emerged as a hub for Life Sciences / IT / Bio-Technology / Pharma and other HiTech areas and is poised to be the best destination for education, Innovation / Incubation and entrepreneurship.”
She also stressed the need for the partnership between Telangana universities and the NTU. A delegation from Telangana is scheduled to visit Singapore in July. Chawdari also pledged support to research projects across universities in Telangana.
The meeting was also attended by Prof R Limbadri, Chairman, TSCHE, Prof V Venkata Ramana, Vice-Chairman, TSCHE & Vice-Chancellor, RGUKT, Basar, and Prof D Ravinder, Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University.
