-TDP, Jana Sena women create rucus

Tension prevailed near Ilapuram Hotel in Vijayawada on Wednesday as the women activists of TDP and Jana Sena Party created rackas and tried to barge into the hotel where Andhra Pradesh State Women Commission had organised a seminar on ‘Abuse of Women on Social Media Platforms’.
Later, the police allowed a few women leaders of TDP and JSP inside the seminar hall. They handed over a representation to APWC Chairperson Vasireddy Padma and urged her to take action against those who are posting morphed photos of women leaders of TDP on the social media.
Earlier, the women leaders were denied entry into the seminar hall. They tried to barge inside despite the police trying to stop them. A tense situation prevailed for some time as the police stopped Telugu Mahila State president Vangalapudi Anita and women leaders of the Jana Sena.
Later, Anitha spoke to the media and said that when they were going to attend the seminar on women’s issues, they were stopped by the police. Jana Sena leader Ganta Swaroopa was irate over the police stopping them, claiming that only 200 people were allowed to attend the seminar. She alleged that only YSRCP leaders were allowed inside.
