STT Global Data Centres India Private Limited (STT GDC India), a leading provider of data centre solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the TG to establish a state-of-the-art data centre campus at Meerkhanpet in the Mucherla region of Hyderabad.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Industries, ITE&C & Legislative Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, TGIIC VC&MD Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, and Mr Bruno Lopez, the Group CEO of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), at the STT GDC office in Singapore.
The upcoming state-of-the-art AI-ready data centre campus will feature cutting-edge
technologies with a targeted capacity of up to 100 MW, along with ample scalability for future growth, making it one of the largest data centre projects in the country.
With an investment of up to Rs 3,500 crore, the project reaffirms STT GDC India’s commitment to supporting India’s digital transformation and highlights Telangana’s solidification as a preferred destination for global technology infrastructure.
Welcoming the decision, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy garu said, “I congratulate STT Global for taking this decision. Hyderabad will soon emerge as the capital of data centres.”

STT GDC India’s expansion investment in Telangana is part of its broader vision to achieve a design capacity of 1 GW across India in the next decade, with a decadal investment outlook of approximately USD 3.2 billion.
The company currently operates a data centre in HITEC City, Hyderabad, and this new campus will further solidify its presence in the state. CM explores investment partnerships with Singapore
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy led the Telangana Rising delegation to meet Grace Fu Hai Yien, the Singapore Minister for Sustainability and Environment and the in-charge Minister of Trade. The two sides held talks on partnerships in many areas.
The delegation, including IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, and officials showcased the unmatched investment opportunities in Telangana in several areas, including urban planning and infrastructure, water management, skills development, sports, semi-conductors, manufacturing, environment and sustainability sciences and technology.
Minister Ms Grace Fu Hai Yien, assured Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that Singapore would consider his invitation to partner with Telangana a reality.
She was particularly keen on Net Zero Future City, Musi project, water management and the sustainability plans of Telangana.
Both agreed to work together closely, including identifying special teams to explore joint projects, systemic sharing of learning from Singapore for India’s youngest state, and making rapid progress and impact on the ground in joint projects.
