Telangana has turned into a ‘Musibat ki Dukaan’ (shop of troubles) instead of ‘Mohabaat ki Dukaan’, (shop of love), said KTR terming Chief Minister Revanth Reddy as “Chichora” (frivolous).
Speaking on the occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birth anniversary, KTR distributed notebooks and study material to poor Muslim students at the Telangana Bhavan, underscoring the BRS’s commitment to the education of minorities.
Reflecting on Azad’s legacy as India’s first Education Minister, KTR emphasised the BRS’s commitment to unity.
He spoke about the harmonious relations in Telangana, noting that while fears were raised in 2014 about potential religious conflicts, KCR’s leadership upheld Telangana’s Ganga–Jamuni Tehzeeb, fostering an environment where all communities live in harmony.
“KCR treated everyone with humanness and not merely as voters but as members of one family,” KTR said, highlighting welfare programmes like the distribution of Batukamma sarees, Ramzan Tofa and Christmas gifts.
Focusing on education, KTR said that KCR established around 200 residential schools benefiting nearly 1.4 lakh students annually, with an allocation of Rs 1.2 lakh per student, demonstrating a strong commitment to minority education.
“Students from minority residential schools are now studying in prestigious institutions across India, making the state proud,” he added, expressing satisfaction at the state’s accomplishments under KCR’s leadership.

KTR outlined the welfare initiatives by the BRS government, including scholarships in Maulana Azad’s name which benefitted 2,751 minority students with a budget of Rs 438 crore.

He mentioned additional investments such as allocating Rs 100 crore for a two-acre site in Nampally and Rs 40 crore for Anisul Gurbah, Rs 9 crore for Makkah Masjid renovations and Rs 40 crore for establishing an Islamic Centre in Kokapet.

“KCR spent over Rs 10,000 crore for minority welfare, a commitment unmatched by any other government,” KTR stated, citing the Shadi Mubarak scheme, monthly stipends for imams and deputy mayor posts for minorities as examples of KCR’s inclusive approach.

KTR questioned the Congress’s promises under its “Mohabbat ki Dukaan” slogan, pointing to unfulfilled guarantees and accusing the current administration of divisive politics.

He highlighted the broken promises, such as plans for a minority census, minority sub-plans, and loans for minority employment, all of which he claimed were ignored after the elections. “KCR never imposed curfews during his tenure, yet now, under the Congress government, curfews were enforced throughout Dussehra and Diwali,” KTR said.

Comparing KCR’s leadership to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KTR urged voters to consider who has truly prioritized welfare for all.

“While Warangal residents express frustration at the current government, longing for a change, we believe people will once again place their trust in KCR, who has proven his commitment to every community,” he concluded.
