The dual lessons of independence and interdependence in boarding schools

The Association of Boarding Schools recently found that 78 percent of borders are motivated by their peers in comparison to 49 per cent of public school students. “The surging popularity of boarding schools can be attributed to this synergistic learning environment along with a sharp focus on the holistic development of students. Today parents choose boarding schools not just because of the academic excellence they offer but to also ensure that their children grow into fulfilled, multifaceted individuals,” says Dominic Tomalin, Founding Headmaster of Shrewsbury International School.
