Toll-free number to take by-poll complaints

Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vikas Raj said that arrangements are being made to hold the Munugode by-poll in a smooth manner.He said the printing of ballot papers and arrangements to provide EVMs have been completed and that the examination of EVMs in the presence of the representatives of political parties and their candidates have started.

He said that 35 per cent extra EVMs and VVPATs have been given to reserve officers and that the second phase of the training will be given to polling staff on October 27 and 28.The CEO said that the EC had appointed adequate polling staff and has also provided 25 per cent reserve staff. He said that 12 cases have been filed and Rs 2.49 crore have been seized.
