The Hyderabad traffic police on Saturday launched traffic mobiles to regulate vehicular movement during peak hours.
“In all, 108 traffic mobiles were flagged off; the two-wheeler will consist of a microphone and a siren. Police officers will promptly remove any obstructions during peak hours. They will also ensure a smooth flow of traffic,” said Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Kothakota Sreenivas Reddy.
The traffic officials also pledged to prevent encroachments and illegal parking in the city. The pledge was administered to the authorities by Hyderabad Commissioner at the closing ceremony of the traffic safety month at Necklace Road.
Addressing the media after the programme, Reddy said, “Today, the Hyderabad traffic police have taken a pledge to prevent encroachment and illegal parking on streets and have assured the public of regulating traffic during the peak hours.”
