It was earlier reported in these columns that Trivikram Srinivas is directing Venkatesh in his next film. On Thursday, the news was officially confirmed. Producer Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments—who also produces films through Fortune Four Cinemas, owned by Trivikram’s wife Soujanya—announced the director’s upcoming two projects.
“Trivikram garu’s next two projects are locked with Venkatesh sir and Tarak anna. Everything else is mere speculation. Any confirmed project of Trivikram garu will be announced by me in this space,” said Naga Vamsi on social media.
Reports had suggested that Trivikram was teaming up with Ram Charan after the latter finishes his film with director Buchi Babu. There were also rumours of a film with Allu Arjun, which some claimed had been shelved. Addressing all this speculation, the director has now confirmed his upcoming projects.
The first film will begin immediately with Venkatesh, marking the director’s first collaboration with the actor as a filmmaker. Previously, Trivikram worked as a writer for Venkatesh’s films like Nuvvu Naku Nachav and Malleswari, both of which were huge hits and are considered among the best in Venkatesh’s career.
The second project is with Jr. NTR, reportedly a mythological film based on Lord Karthikeya. Trivikram had originally planned the story with Allu Arjun, but it is now confirmed that the same script will be made with NTR. The actor is currently shooting for his film with Prashanth Neel, and his Bollywood debut War 2 is set to release on August 14.
