Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has said that Telangana, having overcome many challenges and problems to reshape each of its sectors, has developed a model of progress for the entire country. Telangana State, which has overcome many obstacles, is a beacon of hope for the entire country, he suggested in a note appended to the book “8 Years of Telangana Pragathi Prasthanam”, brought out by his staff.
KCR said, “ Telangana state is competing with many states in the country which were established as states decades ago. The leadership of Telangana State has become a beacon of hope for the people of India who have been struggling with unresolved issues for decades”.
Development means integral development, inclusive development. It should not be forgotten that national development means development of states. Just because Telangana State has achieved development does not mean that the whole country has developed”.
Telangana has been spending Rs.50,000 crore funds every year for welfare schemes. It has been giving social security for all people by means of 10 types of support pensions. In the 10-year period from 2004 to 2014, only Rs.5,558 crore was allocated for pensions in the common state. Between 2014 and 2022, over the eight-and-a-half-year period, pensions grew about 10 times to Rs. 52,358.33 crore outlay.
KCR said that known as ‘Ratnagarbha’ from the beginning, India never had shortage of human resources and natural resources. “The rulers of the country lacked a national vision to contribute to the overall development of all the states while permeating the spirit of federalism in the country. This shortcoming needs to be overcome”.
In the note KCR said: “It is mentioned How did Telangana State’s eight years of progress become a role model for the whole country? How did the state, which had lost its glory in erstwhile state, regain it like the Phoenix bird resurrected from the ashes? What are the visionary policies and activities followed by the state government in this direction? What are the achievements? It contains photos, statistics and explanations with full information about the revolutionary changes and other possible progress brought by the state government in the social, economic, political and cultural fields reflecting the aspirations of the movement”.
This book is published in Telugu as well as Hindi and English. So that all the people of India and the world can understand more about Telangana’s eight years of progress. The state of Telangana, which has provided a model of progress to the country, can be understood through this book on the development activities that need to be undertaken to invent the Golden India of tomorrow.
“It is hoped that this book will contribute towards the change in the country’s development model by understanding the qualitative change in the lives of the people of Telangana. I appreciate my PRO Ramesh Hazari, CPRO office officials and staff for bringing the book in a way that even common people can understand.”
