Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao gave a call to make India great.“Maharashtra tops in farmer suicides. Our heads hang in shame when we read such things. Is Maharashtra short of funds? Telangana is weaker than Maharashtra. But here we strengthened agriculture, brought about changes and stopped farmer suicides.

Migration has stopped and they have returned home. Today the farmers of Telangana do not commit suicide and are living in honour. If this is possible in TS, why can’t it be done in Maharashtra or Odisha? It is not about Dhann ki baat..it is Mann Ki Baat. There is no shortage of Dhan (money) but there is a dearth of commitment.”

Former Odisha Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang and other prominent leaders joined the BRS in the presence of BRS President Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at the Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Friday.

Stating that the BRS took up the slogan ‘Ab Ki Bar Kisan Sarkar’ KCR said, “Farmers of this country should learn to wield the pen as well as the plough. Farmers should be elected as MLAs and MPs and go to legislative bodies.”

KCR said that there should be a strong political commitment to bring about a qualitative change in the lives of people.“Today, Telangana is moving forward on the path of progress by providing water to every house, irrigation and electricity to every field. We are providing the same drinking water to the poor in Banjara Thandas and the rich living in Banjara Hills. When this is possible in Telangana why not in the country?” the CM said.

KCR reiterated that If people elected the BRS to rule the country, 24-hour quality electricity will be supplied to the entire country in two years.“Will give free electricity to agriculture and we will implement Kisan Bandhu for farmers all over the country and Dalit Bandhu for 20 lakh Dalit families every year. Like in Telangana, purified water will be provided all over the country. 83 crore acres of cultivable lands in the country will be provided irrigation,” KCR said.

“Now the Centre is following the policy of socialization of losses and privatization of profits,” KCR said.“Why are Indian youth moving to the US? Why are they more interested in going to the US? Parents are hosting parties when their sons and daughters get a Green Card in the US. Why is this happening ? What does this mean? If we understand this, we will know where we are now. Why are people being cheated in India,” KCR asked.

Stating that India’s politics is about to undergo drastic changes, KCR said, “Parties are winning elections. Leaders are winning. But people are losing after elections. People should win elections, not parties or leaders.Aiming for power, political conspirators are raising many slogans. They made tall promises. People know what happened next.”

The CM said that in the name of caste and religion, political parties are creating discord. People are being divided.

“The Mahanadi in Odisha has water availability beyond needs. We are using only 25 to 30 per cent. The rest is flowing into the sea. Brahmani and Vaitarani rivers also flow along with Mahanadi. But there is no water to drink. Where is all this water going? Why is this water not coming into our houses as drinking water?” KCR said.
