‘TS farm policies have helped nation’s farmers’

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that in the eight years after the formation of Telangana, the policies adopted by the State Government for the development of the agricultural sector have paved the way for the welfare of farmers all over the country.

KCR greeted the farmers of Telangana and the country on the occasion of National Farmers Day (Kisan Divas).The Chief Minister said that there is a big difference in the condition of farmers and agriculture in Telangana and united Andhra Pradesh.KCR said the programmes implemented by the Telangana government to improve the living standards of farmers are giving outstanding results.

KCR said the phenomenal growth in the agricultural sector of Telangana will bring a paradigm shift in the entire agricultural model of the country.He said that apart from turning the loss-making agricultural sector into a profitable profession in Telangana, the government has done a lot of hard work in promoting Telangana as the state of ‘Annapurna’ and the seed bowl of India today.

The Chief Minister said the welfare of farmers has been given the highest priority and that the government is working with utmost commitment even though the Centre is creating obstacles in the way of Telangana.

KCR reiterated that the state government will continue the Rythu Bandhu scheme without any interruption.He said that the growth achieved in the agriculture sector will act as the driving force for all sectors and only through this comprehensive development of the country is possible.

The Chief Minister said that agriculture and allied sectors and the rural economic system will be strengthened by achieving development in agriculture.KCR explained that through progress in the primary sector of agriculture, the purchasing power of the people will increase and its impact will spread to the secondary and tertiary sectors, that is, manufacturing and services.

The Chief Minister said the Telangana government has proved through its programmes that the money spent for the development of various professions along with electricity, agriculture, and irrigation sectors is social investment. He explained that farmer welfare policies followed by Telangana have become a role model for the country.

KCR made it clear that there is a need for a ‘Kisan Sarkar’ in the country like Telangana. The Chief Minister reiterated that only through the Telangana model can there be a solution to the problems faced by the country’s farmers.
