Telangana will soon achieve the target of attaining an installed power generation capacity of 25,000 MW against the existing capacity of 18,756 MW, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said on Sunday.

Replying to the debate on overall growth in Telangana in the Assembly, KCR said that NTPC which was mandated to set up a 4,000 MW plant in the state as per the AP Reorganisation Act has now taken up only a project to generate 1,600 MW.

He said that he keeps an eye on power supply grid cycles on his iPad and if needed contacts officials.

TS is the only state to give 24-hour power supply to all sectors, the CM claimed.
