For the first time in the history of Telangana, the demand for power touched a peak of 14,361 MW in the Kharif season. On Friday, at 11:21 hours, the maximum peak demand of 14,361 MW was registered.
Incidentally, this is the first time in the history of Telangana that this much demand for power was registered in the Kharif season.
Telangana’s power demand hit 15,497 MW on March 30, 2023. This is the highest demand since the formation of the state. It had hit 14,799 MW on March 31 and 14,150 MW on April 1. There is increased power demand in Greater Hyderabad as well.
Earlier, the electricity demand was only 3,000 MW in summer. In this month, the demand has increased to 3,000 MW every day. However, the record of 9,360 MW was recorded on 30.03.2023 in the TS SPDCL areas, and the all-time record of 9,579 MW was recorded on Friday.
