Anganwadis retirement age increased to 65years

Telangana government has increased the retirement age of Anganwadi teachers and helpers to 65 years.

Financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh will be provided to retiring anganwadi teachers and Rs 50,000 to mini anganwadi teachers and helpers.

Teachers and helpers will be granted Aasara pensions after retirement.

In all, 3,989 Mini Anganwadi Centres have been upgraded.

These mini anganwadis have been converted into main anganwadi centres. Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyavati Rathore thanked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on this occasion.

The Minister reminded that after the formation of Telangana, the salaries of Anganwadis were increased three times.
