Pensions have increased 14 times since 2014

Pensions have increased more than 14times since 2014 in Telangana. In 2014, the amount of monthly pension given under Asara was only Rs.67.47 crore. Today, the state government is providing support of Rs.976.42 crore per month.

From 2014 to 2022-23, the Telangana government provided Rs.58,696 crore 25 lakhs as financial assurance under Asara pensions. Now, with increased support for the disabled, the annual pension under the support will reach Rs 11,712crore. Compared to 2014, the number of Asara pension beneficiaries has also increased significantly.

The Telangana government is providing Rs.976.42crore per month as financial security under various categories of pensions. The government stands by every household that needs financial security.

When Telangana State was formed in 2014, the number of beneficiaries receiving pensions was only 28,47,855. By June 2023, the number of Asara pension beneficiaries reached 43,81,338. The government has acted in a humanitarian sense to provide financial security to the various communities who are having a hard time. The monthly pension amount has also been significantly increased in a phased manner.

Earlier, the government used to give a pension of Rs.200 per month to old people, disabled people, handloom workers and AIDS victims. The government is giving a support pension of Rs.2,016 to beedi workers, single women, teachers, and dialysis victims.Due to the grant of pension to the eligible, the number of beneficiaries has increased by an additional 15,33,483, compared to 2014, taking the total number of beneficiaries of support pension to 43,81,338.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has revealed that the state government stands by everyone who needs support.
