The Telangana government has announced to postpone the exam held by the Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO) for the vacancies of assistant engineers and chemists on Tuesday.
TSGENCO issued a notification on October 4 stating that an exam for filling up the vacancies of assistant engineers and chemists will be conducted on December 17. However, the job aspirants protested for postponement of the exam as it overlaps with other competitive exams on that scheduled date. They also have submitted petitions at the Praja Vani programme held on December 11 at the Chief Minister’s residence.
The candidates even held protest demonstrations at some places over the demand. Minister Sridhar Babu, who attended the programme, had assured that this issue would be conveyed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and that a decision would be taken after consulting with relevant officials.
Following the protest, the State government has announced its decision of postponing the exams. The director of TSGENCO issued a press release stating that the date of the exam will be announced soon on its website.
