TSPSC leak: HC to issue interim orders on April 28

Must read

Upholding the cancellation and postponement of TSPSC exams, the Telangana High Court said that it will issue interim orders on April 28 on NSUI State President Balmoor Venkat Narsimha Rao’s petition.

Dealing with the petition on Monday, the High Court asked the State government to clarify whether the SIT had IT experts. “Will the government outsource the probe into issues connected with IT?” the High Court asked.

The High Court asked the government to reveal why it had summoned the leaders of the BJP and the Congress in connection with the probe. Did the SIT get any information from them, the HC asked.

Earlier, the advocate who argued for the NSUI State President said that there is political pressure on the SIT probe and IT Minister KT Ramarao is intervening in the SIT probe.

KTR said the investigation is going on. He had also said before the SIT probe that only two persons were involved in the TSPSC leakage scam. There are no IT experts in the SIT to probe IT-linked matters, he said.

Reacting to the arguments of the NSUI counsel, the Advocate General (AG) said on behalf of the government that the SIT had questioned 40 witnesses till now. The SIT had also seized 12 computers, the AG informed the HC.
