TSRTC to launch 200 new diesel buses by Sankranti

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will make available 200 new diesel buses by Sankranti for the passengers.
Out of them, 50 buses are planned to be started in a week.
TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar inspected the new Lahari sleeper-cum-seater, Rajdhani AC and express buses at Bus Bhawan in Hyderabad on Friday. The officials were asked about the facilities provided to the passengers in these buses and suggestions have been given. Mahalakshmi scheme, free bus travel for women has been implemented and which increases passenger traffic. The officials were directed to make the buses available as soon as possible.
Sajjanar said, “More than 2,000 new buses will come on the roads in four to five months. Out of them 400 are Express, 512 are Pallevelugu, 92 are Lahari sleeper-cum-seater and 56 are AC Rajdhani buses. In all, 540 electric buses in Hyderabad city and 500 electric buses in other parts of Telangana will start plying. We have made plans to make all these available by the end of March next year. The buses have a Fire Detection Suppression System (FDSS) for early detection and prevention of fire accidents.”

The authorities have been directed to make buses available as soon as possible as the passenger traffic has increased due to the implementation of the free bus travel for women.
