TTD JEO: Quality medicare will be provided to injured boy

TTD JEO for Health & Education, Sada Bhargavi on Wednesday said the injured deaf boy of TTD Deaf & Dumb school would be sent to CMC Vellore for advanced treatment immediately.
The JEO, who visited the Hospital upon the advice of TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy said the boy has been given proper treatment already at Ruia Hospital and TTD would bear all expenses of treatment at CMC Vellore.
The facts of the case was that on Tuesday night a student from TTD Deaf school hostel had entered the store room and consumed turpentine oil and tried to create flames but caught himself in fire, started howling for help. The Turpentine was kept in stores for ongoing painting work at the hostel and the boy had done this act on his own. The deputy warden of the school and other students who witnessed this immediately took him to Ruia Hospital for treatment.
However, some social media wrongly reported the incident as an attempt at suicide by students due to some stress. Reports saying that the boy had attempted to douse himself on fire are baseless and unwarranted.
The JEO said the hostel officials had informed the parents of the student as well and taken swift action.
