The IS Sadan Police on Tuesday arrested two persons involved in a burglary and seized gold ornaments worth Rs 35 lakh from them.
The accused were identified as Habeeb Mohammed (35) a plumber and Mohammed Ibrahim (40) an auto driver, both of them residents of Shaheen Nagar in Chandrayangutta. The incident occurred on November 5 at 10 pm.
The victim Syed Mujahid Hussain filed a complaint stating that the burglars broke into his house and stole cash of Rs 80,000 and gold ornaments including gold ear-rings, bracelets and bangles among others, along with a mobile phone, a bike and a Samsung smart tab.
In his complaint, Hussain said that he was out with his family while the incident occurred. Upon returning home he found that the lock on the front door was broken and the valuables were missing. The accused were booked under Sections 380 and 457 of the IPC.
