Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Minister K T Rama Rao declared on Wednesday that around one lakh double-bedroom houses would be allotted to 4,000 families per constituency in Hyderabad between August 15 and October under GO No.118.

The Minister stated that ” In addition to the distribution of double-bedroom houses, around 3,000 houses would be built under Gruha Lakshmi scheme. LB Nagar will witness 40,000 families owning permanent homes with 18,000 families benefiting from the decision to regularise houses under GO 118 in Saroornagar. Also, land pattas have been distributed to the families for secured land ownership.”

KTR added that Telangana government would consider requests to regularise purchased lands without any house construction that were mistakenly recorded in the list of prohibited lands due to past officials’ errors.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao released the GO 118 in November during the previous year for land regularization.

KTR said the foundation for 14 new bridges on the Musi River would be laid in the next couple of months. The development of 400 km of Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion had been approved in the recent cabinet meeting, especially in regards to extension of Metro from LB Nagar to Hayathnagar and Nagole to alleviate traffic woes.

The Minister said four multi-speciality hospitals were being established on four sides of the city to enable ease of access to public for quality health care. Mentioning that the bed strength in Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences had been increased by 2,000, he stated that Telangana was the first state to establish a new government college in every district in the city.

The Minister also highlighted the improvement of road and nala networks under the State Rural Development Programme (SRDP) and SNDP programmes.
