District Election Officer Ronald Rose said that information about suspicious cash transactions and unaccounted cash in all public and private banks in Hyderabad district should be reported to the Nodal Officer daily before 10 am. He gave this direction to all bank managers on Thursday at the GHMC head office.
“Information about accounts to which money is transferred through UPI (Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe etc) should be provided. Banks must install GPS on their vehicles used to load cash in ATMs.
Every vehicle will be inspected as per the MCC and bank officials must provide documents and QR code for the money being transported. Everyone must have receipts for the cash they carry,” Ronald Rose said.
He also said that having a voter ID does not mean that the person’s name will be there in the voters list. So people should re-check the voters list. If people have any doubts about their names being present on the list they must call 1950, or check the voter.eci.gov.in website and the voter helpline app.
“Cash held in the city is being examined and if there is no problem, they are being released quickly,” Anudeep, Hyderabad Collector, said.
Nodal Officer Sarath Chandra, Additional Commissioner Shankaraiah, IT officers, the RBI manager and managers of all the banks in Hyderabad district attended the meeting.
