Unique spiritual programmes in Karthika Month: TTD EO

The temple city reverberated to the divine chants of Govinda Namas and shined bright in the illumination of scores of ghee-lit lamps in the Parade Grounds of TTD as part of the ‘Karthika Maha Deepotsavam’ event on Friday night. Speaking on the auspicious occasion of Karthika Deepotsavam the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy said, TTD mulled Karthika Deepotsavam for the past two years, with an aim to spread the divine power in human lives which will keep them strong and healthy throughout their life.

He said, earlier in Yaganti and Visakhapatnam, Karthika Maha Deepotsavam were observed which received humongous repsonse from the denizens of the respective places. “Tirupati is the third in the row to observe the fete. More religious and spiritual programmes have been mulled in the days to come at different parts across the country in the sacred month of Karthika”, the EO added.

‘Deepa Lakshmi’ dance allures denizens The devotional dance ballet “Deepa Lakshmi Namostute”, by students of TTD’s SV College of Music and Dance, sankeertans by Annamacharya Project artists, and commentary by Vedic Pundit Dr. Maruti stood as a special attraction for the entire event. The devotees chanted Deepa Mantram and Lakshmi Astottaram, Vishnu Sahasra Nama Parayanam in chorus with the ‘archakas’ under the directives of Veda Pundits and performed Deepotsavam in a grand manner.

Chief priests of Tirumala Venugopala Deekshitulu, Krishna Seshachala Deekshitulu, and Govindaraja Deekshitulu performed the rituals to the ‘utsava’ deities of ‘Bhu sameta Srinivasa Swamy’ along with Mahalakshmi Ammavaru while Archaka Swamy rendered all relevant Shlokas and performed pujas.

Later the EO felicitated the TTD Contractors who have come forward to organize the religious event with aplomb. Earlier the artists and religious staffs were also felicitated for the grand success of the event.Board members Ashok Kumar, Marutiprasad, Sriramulu, Commissioner Kum Anupama Anjali, JEOs Sada Bhargavi, Veerabrahmam, CVSO Narasimha Kishore, Chairman SVBC Saikrishna Yachendra, CEO SVBC Shanmukh Kumar, CE Nageswara Rao, SE 2 Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sridevi, VGO Sri Manohar, Garden Superintendent Srinivasulu, DFO Srinivas, DE electrical Ravi Sankar Reddy, many senior officials, scores of employees, denizens were also present.
