 UoH NSS cell organies a plantation drive at ZPH School

The NSS cell of the University of Hyderabad organised a plantation drive at Zilla Parishad High School at Tellapur on  September on Friday and Saturday. This event was held in collaboration with the University’s Horticulture Department, along with the staff and students of the school. The drive was part of the Swachchata Pakwada – 2024 celebrations.
NSS volunteers planted 50 fruit trees, including mango, guava, black plum, pomegranate, neem and peepal.
 High School headmaster Bhaskar emphasised the importance of these trees in keeping the school environment healthy.
Following the plantation, the Swachhata pledge was administered by the NSS cell.
The teaching and non-teaching staff, students, NSS coordinator Dr B Krishnaiah, Dr Bhimsingh, the NSS program officer, and volunteers participated.
Dr Krishnaiah and Bhaskar highlighted the importance of cleanliness in daily life, especially with frequent infections due to the ongoing rains. Both of them thanked the NSS team for their efforts.
