UoH releases notification to fill 30 faculty vacancies

The University of Hyderabad (UoH) released a notification for filling 30 faculty vacancies on Thursday.
The varsity has announced the dates when the eligible candidates can apply and the last dates to submit their applications for the faculty posts. In regards to faculty posts, the list of vacancies is 14 posts for Professors, 11 posts for Associate Professors and five posts for Assistant Professors.
In regards to streams, under Science stream, Mathematics and Statistics, Computer and Information Sciences, Physics, Advanced Studies in Electronics Science and Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Sciences, Neural and Cognitive Sciences. Under Humanities, Humanities, Philosophy, Hindi, Urdu, Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies and English Language Studies subjects. Under Economics subjects, Economics, Social Sciences subjects and Education Technology while under Arts and Communication subjects, Dance and Theater Arts.
The eligibility criteria for candidates is a Master’s Degree, Ph.D., NET/ SLATE/ SET pass in a relevant discipline with teaching/ research experience and the age limit is not exceeding 65 years.
The application fee for candidates belonging to General, OBC, and Transgender categories is Rs 1,000 while the fee is exempted for candidates belonging to ST and PWD candidates.
The candidates will be selected based on academic record, interview, demonstration/seminar, etc. The salary allowances for a Professor are Rs1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 per month; for Associate Professor is Rs 1,31,400 to Rs 2,17,100 while for Assistant Professor is Rs 57,700 to Rs 1,82,400.
