YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who was recently granted bail by the court, was shifted to a private hospital in Vijayawada on Friday.
Vamsi had been lodged in the sub-jail for over 100 days.
He faced multiple FIRs in connection with several cases, including the attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram, kidnapping of an office in-charge, and circulation of forged documents.
The court granted him bail on medical grounds, as he was reportedly suffering from lung-related ailments. His family members had waited for the court’s bail order before he was released. A police force was deployed at the sub-jail premises to oversee the transfer.
Meanwhile, reports surfaced that hospital staff allegedly behaved in an unruly manner with media personnel who were covering Vamsi’s arrival at the hospital.
