Former MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao’s death anniversary was observed at several places in Vijayawada and surrounding areas in NTR district on Tuesday. Ranga’s daughter Asha and former MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna’s wife Pushpavalli garlanded the statue of Ranga at Raghavaiah Park in the city. Asha and Pushpavalli participated in Ranga’s death anniversary observance along with former MLA Bode Prasad and Jana Sena Party Vijayawada president Pothina Venkata Mahes. Ranga’s son and former MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna has not attended the programme as he went to Kashi to perform ‘Pinda Pradhanam’.
Speaking on the occasion, Asha said that followers of Ranga were their family members. She refused to talk about politics as it was her father’s death anniversary. She thanked everyone for participating in the programme.
YSRCP, TDP and Jana Sena Party leaders conducted Ranga’s death anniversary programmes across the city.
