In a minor reshuffle, senior IAS officer G Vani Mohan (1996 batch), who had been serving as the Principal Secretary to the Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture department, has now been appointed as the Commissioner of Archaeology & Museums.
This change comes as she is relieved from her full additional charge duties.
The reshuffle, as per the Government Order (GO Rt No 1626) issued on August 14 by Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy, saw a total of four IAS officers being transferred within the state on Monday.
Among the other officers affected by this shuffle, PS Pradyumna, IAS (2004), who was previously the Secretary to the Transport, Roads & Buildings Department, has been assigned the responsibility of acting as the Principal Secretary to Government (YS&S), Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture Department, in addition to his current duties. This arrangement will continue until further notice.
Additionally, K Harshavardhan, IAS (2005), who had been serving as VC & M.D of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh, has been reassigned to the role of Secretary in the AP State Commission for Scheduled Castes. He has been relieved from his full additional charge responsibilities in the Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture Department.
HM Dhyanachandra, IAS (2017), who held the position of Additional Director of the Village Secretariat & Ward Secretariat, will now be taking on the role of VC & M.D of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh in full additional charge capacity. This arrangement is expected to continue until further instructions are given.
These changes reflect the state administration’s ongoing efforts to optimise the distribution of responsibilities among its capable IAS officers.
