Former Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu visited the Sainik School in Korukonda, Vizianagaram district, operated by the Ministry of Defense. The visit aimed to engage with students and highlight the importance of holistic education in developing well-rounded individuals. Naidu expressed his joy at seeing the institution’s focus on holistic development, set amidst a picturesque environment. “It brings me joy to see an educational institution focused on the holistic development of students, set in a beautiful environment surrounded by greenery,” he remarked.
Accompanied by Captain SS Shastri, Naidu toured the school’s departments, praising the dedicated infrastructure supporting academic learning and character building. “It is heartening to see such dedicated infrastructure that supports not just academic learning but also character building,” he noted. “I was truly impressed by the display of patriotism and discipline among the students here,” he shared.
The former Vice-President emphasised the school’s critical role in training future leaders. “The training offered here is exceptional for those aspiring to join the Indian Army in the future,” he stated.
Naidu acknowledged the broader mission of Sainik Schools in cultivating a sense of duty and leadership among youth. “Visiting institutions like this reminds us of the importance of guiding our young generation towards paths of service and commitment,” he said.
