Vikas College champions in Men’s volleyball tourney

Vikas College of Physical Education (BPED), Nunna, has won the Krishna University Inter-Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Tournament, which was held at PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College, Vijayawada. Vikas BPED College won all the three matches it played in the league stage to clinch the title. The two-day KRUIC Men’s Volleyball Tournament concluded on Saturday.

Four colleges entered the league stage from the knockout round and the league matches were conducted on the second day of the tournament.

Vikas BPED College beat Vijaya BPED College, Nunna, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, and PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College. Meanwhile, the hosts PB Siddhartha College defeated Andhra Loyola College and Vijaya BPED College to secure the second place. Andhra Loyola College won a match against Vijaya BPED College and bagged the third place.

PB Siddhartha College Principal Dr Meka Ramesh, Director Vemuri Babu Rao and Dean Rajesh C Jampala presented trophies to the first, second and third-place teams, respectively.

Tournament organising secretary A China Babu, Vikas BPED College Principal Dr G Raju, and several physical directors were present. Vikas Educational Institutions Chairman Naredla Narsi Reddy, Vice-Chairman Naredla Satyanarayana Reddy, BPED College Principal Dr G Raju, Physical Education lecturers G Raghunath, D Ratna Babu, Balaji and Nagaraju appreciated the teams.
