The VM Ranga fans associations, Kapu Joint Action Committees and Kapu associations will jointly organise the 34 th death anniversary of Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga Rao on December 26 here.
Informing this to media here on Wednesday, AICC member Kolanukonda Shivaji said that the 34 death anniversary of slain MLA and Congress leader Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga Rao would be organised in the press club here on December 26 jointly by the Ranga fans associations, Kapu Joint Action Committee and Kapu associations.
Except the YSRCP leaders, the leaders of all other political parties were invited to participate in the death anniversary of VM Ranga, Shivaji said. He said that the main agenda for the programme is to demand the government to provide 5% reservations to the Kapu community people out of the 10% EWS reservations. They also demand the government to issue a GO in this regard.
Kolanukonda Shivaji said that they demand the government to name Kapu Videshi Vidya Pathakam as VM Ranga Videshi Vidya Pathakam. He appealed to the government to name the place in MG road where the then MLA VM Ranga was murdered, as Ranga chowk.Kolanukonda Shivaji urged the government to allocate a piece of land near Kanakadurga Varadhi here on the embankment of the river Krishna where VM Ranga cremation was held, to construct VM Raga memorial by the Ranga admirers.
