Commissioner of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar inspected the construction work of the Airport corridor works along National Highway from Ramavarappadu Ring to Gannavaram Airport at the field level on Monday.
He inspected the ongoing corridor works near Prasadampadu and inquired about the details of the works and problems faced during construction. Contractors and concerned authorities have been instructed to complete the work quickly by using more workers and machines.
He directed the concerned authorities to remove the encroaching shutters on the side of the road. The panchayat secretaries have been instructed to take steps to ensure that the sanitation work is done properly in the corridor area in the rural limits.
Later he visited the Excel Plant in Ajith Singh Nagar and instructed the Engineering Officials to prepare a plan by evening to construct entrance gates, a sanitary office building, a store room, and restrooms for the Drivers on the premises of Excel Plant. He directed the concerned officials to speed up the Compound wall works of the plant. Additional Commissioner (Projects) KV Satyavathi, Executive Engineers ASN Prasad, Srinivasu, Sanitary Inspectors and Secretariat staff were also present.
