Wanaparthy Palace to be restored at a cost of Rs 22 crore

Minister for Agriculture S Niranjan Reddy on Monday said that the Wanaparthy palace would be fully restored soon on a grand scale as it is a jewel in the crown of Wanaparthy. It is a 100-year-old structure.

The Minister visited the Wanaparty polytechnic college on Monday and said that the architectural style was very rare. In all, the 24-acre land of the palace was allotted to the polytechnic college.

He said that the palace building suffered minor damage for want of maintenance. It was the duty of all to safeguard the palace.

The desire of Wanaparty residents was taken to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao who allotted Rs 22 crore. He thanked the Chief Minister for allotting funds.
