Water tap connection survey to be speeded up: VMC Commissioner

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) Commissioner HM Dhyanachandra has said that as part of providing drinking water tap connections to every household, as of now, 1,89,987 assessment surveys have been completed out of 2,33,131.
So far, 82 per cent of the survey has been completed so far and he instructed the officials concerned to complete the survey 100 per cent and submit the report as early as possible.
In a press release here on Thursday, Dhyanachandra said that the drinking water tap connection survey will be expedited. He directed the Sachivalayam Secretary to go to every house and conduct the survey.
Also, he instructed the Zonal Commissioners to take the necessary steps to complete the survey within the stipulated period. He suggested that the officials work Revenue and Engineering department officials.
