‘WE Hub’, a key initiative by the Telangana government aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs, launched its new programme, ‘WE-Engage’, on Saturday under its Urban Innovation vertical. Designed to offer tailored support, WE-Engage caters to women entrepreneurs at various stages of their journey, from ideation to business growth.
The programme brings together a network of partners to provide critical resources, including mentoring, expert-led sessions, market access, funding opportunities, and strategic networking. Its goal is to foster a nurturing environment for women-led ventures across diverse sectors.
As part of the launch, 21 women-led startups were introduced through the Wadhwani Liftoff – WE-Engage Propel programme, which will equip them with the tools and resources necessary for scaling their businesses.
Additionally, WE Foundher, a new initiative to support women founders with funding, was unveiled during the event.
The launch also featured a panel discussion with key leaders from Telangana’s startup ecosystem, who shared valuable insights on growth opportunities and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs.
Sita Pallacholla, CEO of WE Hub, emphasised the initiative’s commitment to redefining the entrepreneurial landscape for women through WE-Engage. Meanwhile, Vinutha Rallapalli, CSA of WE Hub, highlighted the importance of WE Foundher in bridging the funding gap and increasing women’s representation in investment portfolios.
